Did I break a rib?

I’m taking today off from crafting…anything! I know, I know, it sounds impossible. However, to be honest, I am just too lazy to sit in a chair to do anything. I drove up to South Bend this past weekend for a photography session and of course to torture hang out with Nicole. 😉 Well I spent the better part of Sunday with my sister Cassie (in case you missed it, she’s the one that I did the family session with last trip – see here).

Cassie and family are new homeowners! I am beyond excited for her. She got a great deal on her first house. It needs some TLC but nothing major. Well, I still can not figure out whether it was a good idea or bad idea to tell her I would help her at her new house. She had the brilliant idea to start with the front yard. We borrowed some tools (instant cash savings) and put in some serious labor! We even got the bedrooms cleaned out! We managed to do it all with Issac running around. We were dirty, hot, and tired by the time we were done but we got quite a bit done. The title of the post comes from a call I made to Cassie to complaint about how sore I am today from all the work we did. I told her that it hurt so bad to get out of the bed today that I had to take a second to my self and wonder, “did I break a rib?” Haha I’m just a little ridiculously like that sometimes! Nothing to get alarmed about! 🙂 It was fun! It was wonderful to spend time with my sister and nephew! Which brings me back to my original point – I’m too lazy to do any crafting. It hurts to move almost every part of my poor little sore body.

Instead, I’m reading! My book of choice is Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. I saw the movie back when it first came out so I am anxious to see how the book and movie compare. I have heard good reviews on the book and it was recommend by a friend. I have a few new favorite books that I’ve read in the past year that I would love to recommend to you. However, it will have to be at another time because I have to get back to my book. So, until then!
